The McClain Alumni Association was formed preceding the 1999 All-class Reunion and has received tremendous support from alumni all over the world. Since its inception it has instituted several programs to better the educational climate at McClain High School and the Greenfield schools. The Association annually awards several student scholarships, manages the annual Peg Gessner Student Scholarship and conducts a program to honor outstanding students and teachers. Association members are currently engaged in an ongoing project to repair and restore the multitude of artworks and statuary that line the halls and walls of McClain. If you haven't yet become a member your financial support and, if possible, participation would be greatly appreciated. Ann Merrill is the current president.

NEW: Teena Fitzpatrick Thornton, Class of 1964, The Bio introduction asked that a brief summary be submitted about what I've been doing these past 45 years. NOT enough space. I'm back in Greenfield via Washington State, Minnesota, and Oregon. Been married, widowed and divorced. (Always the optimistic lover) I have (had) two wonderful children, oldest child Julie passed away in 2002 a week after my father...it was an interesting year. My other child... a boy, is currently on his twentieth year in the Air Force. He is married and has two children. They are currently stationed at Patrick AFB in Florida.
I've worked in the accounting profession most of my life. I discovered "temping" before it became popular. Since I love to unravel fine messes, it has been a perfect fit.. work when and where you want to. I've also been a travel guide, EMT, worked at a winery in Oregon for several years and a potato farm in Washington State. I've white watered on some of the best rivers in Oregon and Washington, SCUBA dived on the Great Barrier Reef and too much more to talk about here.
They always say that the best is saved for last, indeed that has been the case for me. When I arrived back in Greenfield, Jake Greenlee introduced me to his older brother Jim. This is another perfect fit. Jim lives at the family farm where he was born. It is outside of Greenfield near Lyndon. We are having the time of our lives. Jim has been a farmer all his life (he's a fine stockman). I love gardening and farming also. We have cattle, a milk cow, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, and guineas. We plant a huge garden every year and can, freeze and dry much of our own food. I have been experimenting with homemade butter and cheese. What fun. I work part time at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. I'm a Unit Clerk in the Telemetry Unit. It keeps me entertained (young nurses are a hoot) and pays my health insurance...what more could a girl want?
I'm currently trying to get a note out to you all (class of 64) about some sort of reunion this year (2009) So watch for e-mails and snail mails from the Greenlee Farm at 1376 White Lane, Greenfield, Ohio 45123. E-mail teenakt@scpwildblue.com, 937-981-1070. Hope to hear from some of you soon. PS I have most addresses and e-mails. Mail me and I will attach an Excel sheet with the info if you are interested. 2/17/09

I moved South completed my education in Gadsden, Alabama with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood from GSCC. I was married to Jim Stanley for just over one year before he died from heart failure. After the death of my mother in December of this year, I'm now in transition between Alabama and Ohio planning to be moved completely by the end of March. Starting over again will be quite a challenge at my age to be sure! May God Richly Bless Your Day
Sincerely, JoAnn jadavis50us@yahoo.com 2/12/09
Update: Boonie and Janny Brizius, Class of 1952, We are enjoying being "back home" after 40+ years in the big city "seeking our fortune" Guess we found it, though  perhaps not in the traditional sense. We have had a great life which includes 4 children and 15 grandchildren. Boonie had a successful and exciting career at Copco Papers, retiring at age 59. We now have our own company called Magic Motivations which includes a summer theatre (Magic Waters Theatre), a motivational camp for kids (C.A.M.P.) The Haunted Hills, Christmas at the Cabin, Magic Shows for your special occasions, and we publish a quarterly magazine called "Happenings in the Hills." In between all that we take folks on trips around the world ( especially to Hawaii.) See web page www.highland-ohio.com/magicwaters 01/30/09

New: Robert Carmean, Class of 1984, Thought I would add mine here, after high school I joined the Army and worked as a Military Policeman for 6 years. I was stationed in Colorado, Germany, and the Washington DC area. During the Military I went to school at Northern Virginia Community College where I got my Associates in Business. After the Army I settled in Alexandria, Virginia and went to work for UPS. After two years I met the Love of my Life and moved to Bristol, Virginia we have been together now 18 years. I was a Manager of a housing development there. A few years past and We moved to Pensacola Beach Florida. I lost a few houses to hurricanes and finally decided that the beach life was great only when you had a house, so I moved to Pensacola city. I worked as a salesman for a Commercial Building Products company, after 5 years I went on to selling parts for the Corrugated Box Industry. Well thanks to all of us who use plastic to destroy Mother Earth, that job only lasted two years. I Made the move to Scottsdale. AZ in January of 2007 and plunged into the .COM industry, Yes its here to stay! I am now working for one of the greatest companies I have ever worked for, GoDaddy.Com. I am horrible at keeping up on anything from my past, I haven't talked to my best buddies Charlie or Steve in many years. (If anyone knows them or talks to them say hi) My Mother past, away in 1989 and My Grandmother in 2007, so I don't come back to Greenfield anymore. The cold weather isn't condusive to riding my Harley Fatboy. Anyhow, if anyone would like to reach me, you can email me at Harleebehr@aol.com. If there was a reunion in 2008 I hope everyone had a great time. 9/15/08
