of Michigan. After serving in the US Army I went to work for Nationwide
Insurance and commuted to Columbus until I retired in 1988.
Lisa Siegwald-Baird, Class of 1947, Although I am not a graduate of McClain, my mother, Marjorie Willett was. I am not really sure of her grad year, but it must have been either 47 or 48. would love to hear from anyone whom may have known her growing up. She passed away in 1998 but my grandmother, two uncles and cousins still live in the Greenfield area and I have many fond memories of spending my summers there. what a wonderful site this is and have enjoyed reading the bios etc. Hope to hear from any of my mothers former classmates. I served in the army in the Pacific Theater during WWII, in Germany during the Korean Conflict and then in Vietnam. After retirement as a Master Sergeant in 1967 I worked as a Boeing toolmaker for a period then joined the Federal Government as a Customs Inspector retiring as a Senior Inspector. married in Germany in 1952 I have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. I have worked at Johnson Controls for the past 28 years as a vending attendent. I attend the Centerfield Friends Church. I have attended my past class reunions and enjoyed seeing old classmates. Worked as a tool and die maker until 1987 when I retired in 1987 Moved to South Carolina in 1989. I teach English to Spanish speakers and am learning a lot of Spanish. Orr, Class of 1941. 10311 S.R. 753, Greenfield, Ohio 45123. I entered OSU in the fall of 1941. I was called into service in April, 1943 and was returned to civilian life in March, 1946. Began teaching and coaching career in 1947. Married Evelyn Arnott, class of 1943, in 1948. Returned to McClain High School as teacher/coach in 1954 where I served for 18 years as teacher, coach and principal. Our four children, Paula, Jamie, James, and John, all graduates of McClain High School live nearby with our 8 grandchildren. We live on a small, 165 acre farm just outside of Greenfield. coachorr@hotmail.com John Roberts, Class of 1943, 8174 Tidal Rd, Norfolk, Va. 23518, 757 583-0200, Attended Central Michigan University and Baldwin Wallace College where I was a member of the "Yellow Jackets" football team and Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Attended US Navy Midshipman school at Cornell University and graduated as an Ensign US Naval Reserve. Saw active duty in the Pacific in 1949 and extensive duty in Korea in 1951 as commanding officer of the USS Swallow engaged in extensive minesweeping operations on the east and west coast and awarded two Bronze Stars with Combat V. Recommended for the Silver Star and the Navy Commendation medal. Continued on a 22 year tour in the US Navy as a regular line officer while serving in 7 different Navy ships including CO of USS Swallow MSO 442 and USS Tallahatchi County LST 1146. Retired in 1964 as Commander. Opened a day care Center in Norfolk Va. which my wife Pearle and I operated for 25 years, selling the business and retiring in 1998. Uhl, Jr., Class of 1942, Greenfield, Ohio, After living nearly 79 years in Greenfield, Charles M. Uhl, Jr. will be residing in the Homestead at Bethany Lutheran Village in Centerville, Ohio. He will continue to walk 10 miles a day at Bethany while enjoying his good health and retirement in Bethany's lovely surroundings and near two of his daughters and their families: Denise (1968) and Larry (1969) Jenkins and Annette (1981) and Tim Poth. 1942. Imagine my surprise and delight to find Greenfield on the Internet. Ive been
away from Greenfield for a long time now. My wife, Ann, and I just celebrated our 50th
wedding anniversary with all our six children and 18 grandchildren. My father and mother
are buried in the Greenfield Cemetery and I get to visit their graves on occasion...one of
which was this past October. Glad to see the old town is keeping up with the times. You
