Lavender Harvest Maybe I was a French girl in a past life...I absolutely love lavender. I wish I could make a living growing the stuff and than I would lead a Provincial life of good food, good drink and good company. After the harvest, long tables would be spread with crusty bread, crisp wine, cheeses and olives...and then there would be piles of lavender perfuming the table. Anyway, I have a friend in Highland County who is growing lavender...and growing it well...right next to the corn and wheat. So, I decided to paint my little Provincial-Southern Ohio dream...and click my heels together and mix my metaphors... "If I paint it, it will come." The original is 10.5" x 13.5" soft pastel painting on velour paper.
